Apparently not what you wanted

Obviously not what you need

But you could have been nicer about it

You didn't just have to leave



You fooled me into believing

That maybe us two could be friends

But something better came along

And you walked away in the end



I cried you a shallow river

And felt, as my heart broke in two,

That everything I hoped you wouldn't be

Turned out to be the real you



Next time, just come out and say it

Instead of waiting so long

To make me feel so unimportant

My confidence is completely gone



As I sit alone in this silence

I'll remember to keep my head down

I'll play my part; "Insignificant Girl"

And you can go party around
