The Ultimate Danger

Painful words caused so much anger

Did you know hate could be a danger?

Violence came and it destroyed

Knives and guns are not play toys

Pushed him too far, made him kill

Did picking on him give you a thrill?

Called him names and said cruel things

Look at what your words did bring

You say that it was all in fun

Up until you saw the gun

Many students, teachers too

21 dead because of you

This could all have been prevented

If someone had just made you end it

But they all chose to ignore the signs

And laugh with you every single time

How's you sense of humor today

As the ambulance whisks you away?

Is it funny now like it was back then

Or do you regret all the things you said?

Paramedics work while parents pray

That your words didn't kill their child today

I hope you learn from your mistake

And that others see it shouldn't be this way

Painful words cause so much anger

Hate, that's the ultimate danger
