Saffron Pollen

Folder:
Mad Musings

The junipers let go of their pollen in

   smoky puffs

Taken by the wind in search of seeding,

the desert air is thick with saffron farina

An anxious ego frantically insists I go

    inside to avoid contamination

Defiant I breathe deeply and let the dust

   infiltrate my system

At one with the trees, I too am pollinated
