Why blame the menacing tyrants

   when belief in Tyranny is right here inside

Why blame the guerrillas who compound

   evil into fury when thoughts of terror are

   right here inside

Why blame the government for a police 

   state when the failure to govern oneself

   is right here inside

Why blame the world for anything when it is

    but the culmination of one's own attitude

    towards it

While we are busy looking outside,

   our insides are running amok
