The planet met its star with a fiery poof. To those watching from a safe vantage it was rather anti-climactic for an event which had been predicted and anticipated for millennia. The world had once been inhabited by their progenitors as had the planet before it which had also moved on to a sweltering end. And this planet from which they observed too would be swallowed up for what is in the beginning flung out must eventually return to its source. If ancient calculations were correct they had approximately 1500 years to find a new home. They knew not where they would go next as this was as far as they knew the last planet in their solar system.
