The Moonstone Ring glowed as Nannitha touched his heart, "Boundless here." She then lay a finger at the spot in the center of his forehead, "Unlimited here." Her hand reached down to the ground between them, "Ah but here - here a human needs to show restraint in order to develop strong character. We are not the wind."
The boy pondered for a moment, turning a pebble over in his palm. Even in his short life he'd already witnessed the other children behaving monstrously towards one another though he was still too young to be consciously aware of the adults that demonstrated that same behavior. "Grandmother what if a person does not care about their character?"
Nannitha shook her head gravely, "Then we are all doomed. This is why we must never give up on a person's ability to find their way out of darkness. We must always leave the light on for them."
