An enchantment of which I have not seen

   in this garden of primarily green

   where blossoms shrivel from desert heat

   before I've a chance to formally greet

Beneath sheltering shade of Catalpa tree

   alight by a lone drone honeybee 

   a periwinkle's blue, with a tint of violet too

   petals whorl round corolla of dandelion hue
