In Faerie Grove

Starry-eyed but grounded

sprite of step, her love unbounded

skipped she bonny of complexion fair

wreath of shamrock ring'd russet hair

through mossy grotto she tip-toed

on way to wed her blithe betrothed

There he wait in faerie grove

a humble lad, no treasure trove

beneath oak canopy & alder bough

to Holy Ghost they said their vows

fealty sworn by bloodied thorn

sealed with a kiss, each to the other

   connubial born
