lay in the middle of the walk

take in my hand and thoughtfully preen

I can see what it has seen

soaring over canyon & creek

bit of rabbit stuck to its beak

there grazing, White Buffalo Ghost

for questers, this region's host

to top o' the mesa and back we flew

unobstructed this bird's-eye view
