Suffering has made you cruel

I understand this and so will not

   return your pain to you

   but take it on myself

I'll use it to dig a hole

   and sift out the rocks

   add water, mix dirt into mud

Here is your anger

   transformed into a square foot

   of adobe floor in my shop

Please give me more fuel

   for I have much work to do
