Poetry it would take a million smiles,
A river of hugs,
A mountain of kisses,
To equal the pain of all those tears,
and still it would reside in my heart,
like a stain on my soul, uncleansed.
Nothing he could do would make up for it.
i'll never forget.
But for now, just hold me,
you've always been so good at pretending that you didn't care,
deep in my heart i always knew you did,
right now, i'm asking you not to prented anymore.
So just draw me close to you,
and pretend he never existed.
i want to forget about him.
if anyone can make things better, if only for a minute,
it would be you.
love me for a second,
and maybe it will be enough to make me let go.
