What are you supposed to do,

When you don't have the chance?

To be with the person you love,

Because of the distance,

You know you'll never meet them,

You'll never feel their touch,

All you want is to be with them,

Is that really asking too much?

But they don't return your feeling,

They just like you as a friend,

Yet you can't help but love them,

And wish the misery would end,

Despite the lengthy distance,

They're the only person you know,

Who can fill your heart with gladness,

Cheer you up when you're feeling low,

You dream that you could meet them,

You think of them night and day,

You love them for who they are,

And hope they'll never go away,

You know that you'd be happy,

If you two could be together,

But you know that online relationships,

Just don't last forever,

All that you can do,

Is hope they understand how you feel,

You don't understand what you're feeling,

But you know that it is real.
