And the moment she said to ask me

all the eyes turned to my face.

And I wished I could have disppeared

or ran away from this place.

I thought closely at what to do,

If the truth was what I would say.

But I knew that it would be,

If it gave me the chance to put Steven away.

My eyes filled with cold determination,

as I looked into my Husband's eyes.

But everyone was riveted to me,

and didn't hear his half-hearted cries.

"Don't believe her! She's one too,

a disgusting and dirty prostitute."

And when he said these words I closed my heart

my decision became solid and absolute.

I cleared my throat and met each pair of eyes,

"I belive Steven did rape this woman."

And with that all hearts hardened towards Steven

and his life would never be the same again.

They asked him if he wanted to call his lawyer,

he shouted that he wouldn't be needing one.

And with that he bellowed to no one in particular,

"Someone, anyone! Call Christopher, call my son!"

The other girl in the room wsort of gasped,

and I noticed that we sort of looked the same.

Then she seemed to crumble inside herself

and said "Well I'll be damned." when she heard the name.

Soon Chris was there like an avenging angel,

screaming and calling they let him go.

Until his eyes locked on his father's accuser

and whispered "Mercedes..." as if she were someone he used to know.

But she turned her back on this boy

and didn't answer nor look at him.

So Chris steeled himself and spun around

to look at me again.

"How could you do this Step-Ma?

You are going to ruin his career and life.

But instead your on the side of that GIRL!

When you are supposed to be his wife."

But I had washed my hands of both of them

My husband and his son the prick.

Neither were particularly bright,

and tended to think with only their dick.

I steeled myself as Chris stepped closer,

and screamed, "What did my dad ever do to you?"

I lifted my chin and confidently said,

"He made the mistake of raping me too."
