He was sitting there beside me,

Ignoring the others in the room,

We weren't talking or looking,

But something had to happen soon.



The whole day I was thinking of him,

No time would have been better,

Maybe I should have asked him out,

But we weren't suited together.



We both fancied other people,

Us being friends only,

It was like something had linked us,

So we would never be lonely.



Maybe I should have kissed him,

Finding out if the spark was still there,

No memories wanted, only truth,

Does he still care?
