Village at Merni

Village at Merni

On a day so black the moonlight scurries

From rocky crags and jagged sky

Blue tinge dispersed with auburn

Appered the Footman of denial

On a day so rot with fury

Even angels gasp a sigh

For the damaged, lonely people

Of the village

At Merni

"Not you know my carriage brought me

From the depths of Servant's throne"

For the Servant evolves the Master

And the Master stands here

All alone

On a day so entangled in intrigue

Incongruent lies abound

Appeared a boy of six or seven

In an inn

The patrons run from now

"Not you know of spectral nature

From the skies the day be nigh"

As I did once for my father

Release the souls of the entangled

At Merni

On a day so black the hedgerow shiver

Upon ample ledge and treacherous high

One by one of countless number

Leaped the expanse for Death

Here at Merni

"Go froward fine, young maiden

Cleanse thy soul of secret lies"

Burn thy must into your conscience

Like the iridescent bellies

Of fireflies

"Not shall I take another footstep

Upon this ledge my feet shall hold"

And stare into the heart of Satan

A boy who's blood runs solid

Of coldest cold

On a night so clear the moonlight dances

Upon rocky crags and calming sky

The blues give way to stardust

In the hearts and minds

Left at Merni

"Go forth this day of judged compliance

Count as victory if thy must"

But the souls you rightly taken

Will ascend as stars

As dust be dust
