i went walking through the garden yonder day

praying lord don't let my foot be strayin'

I see him and the morning and at bed

I see him at the table when I break bread



I long to follow your decrees

Let me stand against the breeze

up to the chapel and, i prayed

for the pain to be taken away

Talked to my father, what did he say

save that prayer for another day



because it's bound to bring you pain
