Broken bridge, fire burnt it to the ground
no way over, if you step out your gonna drownd
can't turn back, ashes blowing in the wind
cant turn your back, you still have a loosened end
ashes scattered, memories spread out in the sky
It's getting darker, prepare yourself for a goodbye
but don't you cry, baby girl don't cry
Pacing beside the brook that fills the gap between your dreams
it's just a vortex, taking the journey to extremes
the currents streaming flow separating him from you
so strong and deep, a stream of tears, the color blue
foggy air, the smoke it blinds the other side
but don't call out, for you know that you've done tried
baby girl your set aside, he's set you aside
Smoke smuggling the air so you can't catch a breath
and the smog burning your eyes, makes you think it's death
your eyes are tearing up and you can't find the words to speak
your body's feeling different, your heart is getting weak
feeling so confused because your flame got out of hand
and your trying to apologize but he don't understand
this didn't go as planned, baby girl what happened? this isn't what you planned
you open your eyes now the smog has gone away
but soot covered the ground colors black and grey
you look across the stream to see his eyes are dry
from the burning of a bridge a loss not one tear he'll cry
his back is turned toward you like he doesn't care
but you've burned a special bridge you've lost something thats rare
girl why'd you have to hurt him, hurt your teddy bear
