Who Wants Coffee
If fans are twirling,
It’s too hot for coffee,
But the swirling air
Matches swirls of milk
And a lazy day
on the patio slab.
If bees are buzzing,
It’s to late for a mug,
But the humming insects
Create a hunger for muffins
Butter, honey, and a steaming
Brew at the kitchen table.
If the dinner is over
Plates hog the placemats
A suggestion of dessert
Is greeted with a groan,
But who wants coffee?
Is never turned down.
