Blood running thin
On Christmas morning, shivering
Like silver and tope
A sky painted with haste
Please, I do not want this
Your candy has a bitter taste
Atrophy of the mind
And cold, careless caress
Strange looks, tracing wrinkles
A winding road completes the year
Tingly feelings in the air
One lonely little tear
All along, you couldn't sing it
Voices strong in harmony
But solo songs get lost
Amongst the pale and frost
Towers topple in the cold
Can't withstand the pressure
Your mouths and eyes so wide
The fearful chill inside
Shattered like so much ice
Cling to what you're told
Before you get too old
On this silent, shaken night
