Goodbye



I didn’t see you in the last days

Thinking of this sets my heart ablaze

I assumed you’d be there

It doesn’t seem fair

I wanted to say goodbye

I keep asking myself why

Why I stayed at home

Didn’t pick up the phone



I assumed you’d be well again

Travel such a pain

And it wasn’t even by train



My excuses now seem lazy

Memories are making me crazy

Enough!



I made the mistake

I’ll live with ache.
