Rift Between
Once the bond was strong and we were close,
though life had different plans for us since the beginning.
We battled distance and time constraint,
but were befallen by fate itself.
We managed to stick it through a time of hard,
to get to the point we are now.
Though now as we walk our paths,
our lives seem to separate.
Times be bittersweet now.
Discourse here,
and a laugh there,
nothing seem to be the same.
My good friend for a long time now,
is now someone to whom I hardly speak.
Where did the time go,
when we could be close friends as before.
Why is it what seems to lay ahead is a mountain that splits us apart.
I'm sorry to say,
as well as know,
that we are slowly drifting apart.
Where we will end up in the end,
well only time shall tell.
I'm sorry for,
any pain that you have suffered,
and more so by the pain at my hand.
Forgive me now,
for i know I've wronged you.
My dear friend,
you'll be in my heart till the end,
and never forgotten,
where ever I may be.
