It's just me and you again, another night where Morpheus abandoned me, another night where my mind took off like a track star before the gun. I can't help but wonder how you shift so easily from stage to stage, growing and shrinking without complaint, you're in constant flux, like me. That's why you'll always be my favorite over your counterpart, but are you hurting as much as I am? Do you disappear because you want to or because you need to? Either way, I understand, because sometimes it's nice to go unseen, and other times you can't help but be full, can't help but shine brightest when you're blue. Just when I think I've figured you out, you find a new color to embrace, just when I think I've figured myself out I find a new shade of my soul. We're both dealing with the tide, I can't help but pull on people only to push them away, my ambivalence at times makes me feel like two people in one, and I'm not sure what either one of them really wants. They say you're slowly floating away, and maybe you are but just when I think you're far away you remind me how super, how close you really are. I try to find hope in that, because right now I'm far away and I don't want to float away, slowly or otherwise. I want to be super, want to reach a state where I can be adored, if only for a night. Maybe I'll find someone who views me as I see you, someone who believes I'm just as beautiful on those nights I disappear as I am when full.
