Lamentations

So I came to a place

Where eyes spoke softly

I felt the breeze upon my cheek

The lamentations set fire to my presence

Jeweled shadows danced upon the wall

Laughing and skipping to and fro

And the stillness

Gathered all of my thoughts

As if were putting berries in a basket

While the sun blazed upon an icy heart

The northern lights,

Danced across the sky

And I realized with a whispered breath

That I…was still alive
