After The Deluge

Smell the air

unaware

that a storm

has passed

left ruin

in its path

not able

to tell the dancer

from the dance

the aftermath

leaves a certain

confusion...

delusion...

after the deluge

and time reminds

that distant thunders

from the past

will often last

longer than

one may know

or wish to be

mud dries to clay

and rain

will eventually

go away

evaporate

or stay

forming...a pond of pain

Very nicely written! The visual is clearly a relationship of pain.
