Against impossible odds you decide to stand,
As nothing goes as you had planned.
Though Death shall claim you in a while,
Still you stare at me and smile.
Your smile itself tells me why,
As we turn our heads towards the sky.
Slowly your ideas and mine elope,
And I, too, am filled with hope.
Hope springs eternal into possibility.
Hope springs eternal for all who believe.
It erases all forms of anxiety and fear,
And draws a sense of comfort near.
No matter what loss, no matter what cost,
The sun will shine where hope is tossed.
