Darkness surrounds me -
deep smothering lonely darkness.

But I know in my heart
that I will soon reach through the darkness
and find the dazzling loving sunlight of a life companion
that God has willed for me.

The comfort of a caring touch,
a loving gentle look,
knowing we will never be lonely again -
who could ask for anything more than God's blessings,
a loving God who knows what we need in our lives and provides for us.

So I know this lonely sad darkness will soon be turned into the warmth
of a loving companion and I patiently wait for my love to come along and lift me out of my darkness.
