No tears today because I'm in pain;
For if I cried what would I gain;

Instead I'll look back at the years I've had
that were good and I'll be glad;

For God has blessed me with wisdom and grace
to allow me to survive and win in life's race;

A family that loves me that I've mostly raised well;
Friends that care enough when I'm having a bad spell

I've learned to reach out to friends new and old
and have received treasures and wealth untold.

no matter how plain or bleak life may be;
just remember this: "there's people much worse off than me"
and maybe by offering your simple word
you may help somebody else whose voice is unheard.
