Poetry from the Heart I'm sitting on the edge
heart beating too fast to breathe
I feel the breeze brush against my skin
it smells like orchids
I close my eyes and breathe you
I can feel your warmth upon my cheeks
your gentle kiss awakens me
gasping for air
your sweet caress calms my heart
bursts of color break the darkness
i succumb to your touch
together we melt into the river
and flow into the sea
we are entangled together
in the ebb and flow of our tide
forever
