Yes I have baggage
don't you
I've lived a full life
haven't you

Yes I have problems
don't you
if I can accept your problems
why can you not accept mine
we aren't kids

you say you cannot accept baggage
why not when I can yours so willingly
how empty has your life been
is it a void with nothing within

Love gives us courage
to deal with problems -together
both yours and mine

baggage can be handled
when two work together
problems can be solved
when two are as one

A full life creates baggage
and often brings with it problems
and a person who has lived a full life
is often more caring, giving and loving

we've learned to cope
we've learned to deal
we've learned to laugh
we've learned to heal

baggage is only a problem
when we let it be
come lets share our baggage
and empty it

let's solve our problems together
and in doing so enrich our lives

Working together with God's help
happiness can be gained
love can overcome
