Heaven in sight as I came to life.
As free as a rose petal falling
on the wind crawling,
over and over to where ever she may blow.
As I myself have done before.
Not on a plain but as my mind soars.
Unlocked from these chains and out through the doors.
Into the storms of the summers mid day,
where I have often betrayed
others, but myself mostly.
And as I stand in-line beside myself.
I look left and I look right to see,
If there is anyone to see.
But just as I thought, I am but alone.
Only myself and a shadow to atone,
for I must be better than this.
A better man inside searching for some light
to let out, and shine so bright.
Through the storms and up through the clouds,
to have no doubt,
that I am as I thought.
As great as I see,
as good as me and my heart,
as kind as a new start,
as smart as a falcon falling,
to catch her breath and play her part.
And this rose cut by my knife,
she still retains beauty after her life.
Those petals still flow to wherever they may go.
Free and on the wind crawling,
toward some home somewhere calling.
An heaven, a paradise lost
and We have all paid the cost.
We grew and bowed to our greed,
we no longer need our soul,
we no longer need to be whole.
Except me...
Who as been before not as I am.
And I will be a better man...
As I myself have done before,
I will be reborn.
