Love can be shown in many ways

With a touch, with gifts, with words

I show love with a meal cooked with care, passion and all the affection in my heart 

I will feed you an apology with strawberry dipped chocolate 

I will feed you warmth in a chicken broth soup 

I will feed your culture with sushi, biryani or maqloubeh 

I will nurture your inner child with a chocolate cake 

I will show you forgiveness with meatloaf 

I will engulf you with romance in a lobster tail drenched in garlic butter

I will show you how gentle I am with a poached egg with hollandaise sauce

I will share my burning passion with a charred top lemon meringue pie 

I will serve you comfort with Mac and cheese 

I will give you my attention with a lava cake 

I will bake generosity into every focaccia bread 

I will show my appreciation in a turkey dinner with all the sides  

I will share my tenderness in a medium cooked steak   

And I will love you with every spice and grain of rice that I make
