I’ve been hiding who I am

Someone with many flaws 

Been heartbroken once or twice 

So many secrets that I keep 

For me myself and I 

I’ve been sad and alone 

Because the world is cold 

But no not tonight 

No not tonight 

Like a firefly 

I’m gonna light up the world tonight  

Be who I’ve always been 

On the inside 

Like a firefly 

Magic in the night skies 

Roaming the world 

Leaning to hope

Learning to cope 

Learning to love in such a little time 

Like a firefly…
