I welcome you with open arms 

A hug so warm and a kiss on the cheek

I welcome you with sweet words 

And a glass of wine 

A fine cigar and some Frank Sinatra song is playing in the background 

I welcome you with a marker and white board 

As every guest that passes by teaches me so much

I know you will give me some guidance 

New lessons 

And I am hear to listen and learn 

I welcome you with gratitude 

And joyous tear

You are a guest passing through my life 

And I welcome you with your good and bitterness

With your stories to tell and people to meet 

I welcome you with no expectations 

Just a plea

Don’t break my heart, I’m still trying to heal

I welcome you with hopefulness 

And maybe some good news 

I welcome you with graciousness 

Even though there may be malice, there is always blessings

So much blessings 

As much as the sand in the oceans and seas

I welcome you 

I’ve been waiting eagerly 

To hear your stories 

And to start this new period of my existence 

Take another turn around the sun

As you’re passing by my life 

I welcome you 2022

May you be sweet and courteous 

And appreciate the fine wine 

Smoke your cigar 

Dance under the stars 

Write up with your gifts of mine

Tell your stories 

Speak your mind 

And by the haste that time goes by 

You’ll be another chapter on the shelf of my life
