Looking back

Oh so long ago

To the conversations we had

When i was still so naive

The hopes i had for us

Were ever so bright

But our ultimate fate

Was just our demise

I met someone new

Only 10 months and 2 weeks ago

And i have to admit

I never thought id feel like this again

So much passion

And oh so caring

More then you ever did

Even when i was staring

Into your eyes

Wanting to give you the world

But held back from my own demise

As you talked about everyone else

I grew old of waiting

And things happened that i dont regret

Out with the old and in with the new

Someone who has always been better than you
