Life never ceases to barrage

with harsh unpredictability

But sometimes

infrequently

you're blindsided by something

or somebody

that defies the spectrum before you today

and redefines

that little twinkle in your eyes

making up for some of life's wrongdoings

and taking away all the vacancy

signs 

formerly shroud in dusty cobwebs

of this cranial

dome

that far too frequently

frantically

pines

for a solitary respite

but instead

stumbled

in the best way

upon a new

home
