Ignorance is bliss

I used to tell myself this

but for now, I've missed

the way to act loyal and selfless

My time has come

my pitied course has run

The naysayers must succumb

for I know for certain I've won

Burning anger subsided

long lust, and youthful trust

made something much more

All i say to you dear, is

while the fireflies show you where to find

the tranquility in this memory

The time for excuses has faded

the blackened fear of the past is gone
