I looked up in the sky one night

I would say around midnight

As I looked at all the shining stars up in the dark sky

To my surprise I saw an angel flying by

She came to me and told me she was my guardian angel

And that I should not be sorry or sad

That as bad as life gets

It will get better

And she will always be there watching over me

And then as quickly as she appeared

She flew away again and disappeared

Though I have never seen her again

All through my life I have never forgotten her words
