A Candle Burning
Like a candle burning im here to light your way. No matter where you're turning i'll turn your darkness into day. No fear is to be feared. Nightmares are to be sheared. Life is loved if it you do not fray.
Like a flame upon that candle i'll also keep you warm. A promise to do so and a promise sworn. No cold shall make you shiver. Chilling winds will not cause you to quiver. Love is lived if it is not torn.
In time the flame shall disappear and the wax will melt away. But in this heart the passion shall stay near and my love will not so easily stray.
In time a new flame shall come alight. A new candle ready to serve its purpose. Giving both you and I a smile from it shinning so bright. And in the end we will realize of what the candle has been carrying us.
