Carpe Diem seize the day, gazing at the flowers on the ground.
I marvel at their "bravery", they could be crushed yet not make a sound.
I dance in the rain, because each time may be the last I do so,
I envy my young brother, his carefree attitude as he grows.
Oh, how I long to once again be young but I live my life my way.
Being young, "Living each day as if it were my last", as they say.
Carpe Diem, seize the day, is what I try to do,
To change at least one person's life before my own is through.
To wonder of what is to come since my life will surely end,
to wonder if I shall be alone, or be united with a friend.
But death does not consume my mind, its grim reality,
Instead I focus on life and all the things I still must see.
It doesn't mean to fornicate, and easy spread my legs.
But to live as if I were eternal, before life drags me through its dregs....
