As Animals.

You were just a fragment,
A glorious moment made whole.
and every one liner I could spin,
would drive me further from home.

If I really believed any of this,
I'd be out of my mind.

Lose focus, Lose faith.
The water gives and it takes.
All for a single moment,
I swear I can't breathe.

Obscure me, and scour my filthy mind.
I've got a wick and a lighter with
nothing but time.

Embrace me. Battered, broken, and bruised.
I would've tried a bit harder if I was
hitting on you.

Is it living, when it's walking on air?
When I'm dried up, will the sand even care?
Or will I lie there, lie there.
Decompose.

Compose yourself soldier,
you make a better window than board.
But a half wit son still beats
a daughter who's a whore.
If you lock all the doors, and block
all the windows. You'll still find the light
sticks around as part of the victim.

Clear minded or not, this is the most sensible I've ever been.

We aren't born poets,
we are made them.
We aren't born poets,
we are made them.
