Bravery within the madness
in my soul
Bravey to walk outta the darkness
I call home
Bravery to somehow smile
within the sadness of my broken heart
Bravery to let you go
when we said we'd never part

Bravery to hold in the tears
when I know I'm in pain
Bravery not to break down and cry
when I see you
talk to you
or even say your name
Bravery to lay alone in my bed
just one more night
holdin' onto my pillow
but wishin' it was you
I'm holdin' so tight

Bravery to just stay away
when I wanna be so close
Bravery when I gave you my heart
only for it to be broke
Bravery to love you
through the pain
Bravery to say
I love you
I miss you
without you
I'm about to go insane

Bravery to try again
Bravery to just walk away
Bravery to give up
Bravery to live another day

Author's Notes/Comments: 

I was going through a really difficult time in my life when I wrote this. It takes more than "Bravery" to get up and move on. It takes a lot of praying to God and Jesus. You have to take time to heal. You can't expect to heal over night. It takes time. You really got to put in the effort to move on when you get hurt. You can act all you want, but people who know you can see through all the bravato. It's always better to take time and heal and make the changes you know you need to make. If it weren't for God, Jesus, my family, and friends. I may not have made it through. And for that I'll always be grateful!!
