Edge Of Evil

Verse1
Painful thoughts
in my mind
people dyin'
all the time
I lost my mind
been here
a million times
I'll kick you in the face
at the drop of a dime

Verse2
Walkin' through the valley
of death
I hear 'em say
hear no evil
speak no evil
see no evil
I fear no evil
my sins I confessed

Bridge
People sail so far away
on the edge of life and death
they won't live to see another day
these days aren't the same
they blame it on the music
but who's really to blame

Chorus
They shoot us with their guns
they kill us
leave us in pain
they stab us in the back
burn us with fire
make us all insane
they don't care
they have no shame
I'm on the Edge Of Evil
you're the one I blame

Verse3
They all look at me
I hear 'em say
you ain't no good
you ain't worth it
what do they know
they don't even know my name
they think my mind's up in flames
now who's the dog
who plays the game

Repeat Chorus

(solo)

Verse4
Say what you want
I don't care
you mean nothin' to me
can't you see
you're nothin' to me
get away from me
don't need you here
to try and bring the anger outta me

Repeat Chorus

Author's Notes/Comments:

"Edge Of Evil" is about people who blame everything and everyone, but themselves for how their children act. They blame it on the music. They blame it on race. What about blaming it on yourself for not being a good parent and showing your children the correct way? Not blaming all parents here. We've had school bombings, people showing up at schools and killing as many people as possible. How do you think the families of those people who were killed feel? They're not throwing blame at everything else. They're putting the blame where it needs to be.
