The Drums
Every man should believe
In something greater than himself
For some worship only power
While others honour wealth
But I was once a Soldier
And this simple fact I know
Believe in Honour, Duty, Country
And your pride will always show
Stand silent strong and proud
When massed bands our Anthem play
Wear your heart upon your sleeve
No matter what the others say
Respect those who never served
For they can't share your pride
From those that only critisise
You'll never need to hide
So when that bugle's call
Make you pulses start to race
Or when the pipes and drums
Put a knowing smile upon your face
Remember those who went before
Remember those who had to fall
But never forget that you too
Were one who signed to risk your all.
