I remeber there was a time long ago,

When heartbreak was just make-believe,

Sitting, staring, crying my heart out,

Looking at the television screen,



Goodbye childhood,

Something bigger's gone bad,

She could have lied and said,

I was the best thing she ever had,



I guess we all feel it some time,

I guess make beleive can't be real for long,

But I know I'll be happy, much happier,

When heartbreak returns to simple lines in a song.
