Only you knew who I really was
When I wanted to cry and when I needed a hug
When I wanted to runaway
Or float, lost in a sea of pain
You were there to keep me grounded
Instead of falling back in to blackness
Every time I was mad, you made me happy again
Even when I cut my wrists
You were there to keep me disinfected
Even when my heart was deeply inflected with pain
Even when I screamed and cursed at you
(I’m so sorry I hurt you)
You were still there
Calming me down
Till I was crying and sound
You taught me how to smile
(And to go all wild)
You got me through the storm
Even when it hailed
You were still there
All you did was care
