Unaware within my head,
Silently I lay down in bed.
In my mind I see the blackness,
Darker than I last remember.
Deep in the darkness I see my fears,
Huddled there I cry forbidden tears.
Pain pierces a heart I don’t remember having,
Afraid to sleep
This nightmare that seems so trapping.
