A flash of silver, then Red
So much Red
A Red so bright, so loud.
First goes my hearing
The Red is deafening.
I hear a dull thud, thud, thud
Then nothing
Not one sound
Are you speaking to me?
Your lips move yet there is no sound
Are you screaming?
Don’t you hear me?
I’m fine
Then goes my sight
The Red is blinding
Dots.
Lots of black dots
And Red, buckets of red
You fade
Why did you leave?
Wasn’t I good enough for you
Is that what you do when things go bad
Why? I ask after all we’ve been through
Why did you leave?
Wait!
I can’t remember why I’m here
How did I get here?
All I can remember is Red
That deep Red
So deep it threatens to suck me in
Help! Help me!
I scream
I’m so cold,
but I’m burning up
Wait!
What is this strange peace?
Finally the fire melts, the ice fades away
Now I rest
An everlasting rest
