Life Overload

When your staring at the pavement,

Walking down the street,

Won't let the world know that you're hurting,

So you just smile at your feet,

Because everything is changing

Faster than you can blink

And you get sick and tired

Of having too much time to think,

You walk around at 2am

In the pouring rain,

As if the water falling from the sky

Will wipe away the pain.

But you're too strong, remember?

You're too strong to cry,

So instead you wear a smile

As if you don't even have to try.

You think it's a sign of weakness,

If you call out for help,

So instead of letting people in

You just keep it to yourself.

And they all say that they love you

And they all say that they care

But when you're drowning in your life,

They are never really there.

It's a lonely life you're living,

And all you want right now

Is someone to come save you

But nobody knows how.

So you just keep on walking

Past the faces walking by,

And they all seem to hate you

And you just don't get why,

Why those faces never notice you

And the ones that do act smug

As if your nothing but a parasite,

Nothing but a bug.

When your staring at the pavement,

Walking down the street,

Won't let the world know that you're hurting,

So you just smile at your feet,

Because everything is changing

Faster than you can blink

And you get sick and tired

Of having too much time to think.
