Breathe in, breathe out,
Ignore their words,
Don't show the tears,
Don't show the hurt.
Don't let them know
You're bruised and beat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
And repeat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
You'll be okay.
Don't give them attention,
Don't even look their way.
Just keep walking,
Move your feet.
Breathe in, breathe out,
And repeat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
Ignore their stares
Don't let them know
You even care.
Don't give them joy
Of your defeat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
And repeat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
Ignore their words,
Don't show the tears,
Don't show the hurt.
Don't let them know
You're bruised and beat.
Breathe in, breathe out,
And repeat.
This is really quite good!
I like this poem. It's the way I feel in so many situations. Especially being in High School as I am. I feel this way when I'm scared of someone, or when I walk into a situation where I really messed something up. It's the way I feel after a break-up, or after my parents reprimand me for something I know I shouldn't have done. Everyone has gone through bullying of some form. Whether it's physical violence or harsh words that can be just as cutting to the mind, it's hard to go through. I feel your pain very much. And thank you for the poem!

Thank you for your comment. I'm really glad that not only did u enjoy the poem, bt that u also can relate. I like to write poems with emotions of which almost everyone has felt at least once. Or poems w a moral. Bt i just love it when people can have a personal connection with my poems :) i am also in high school. Bt i felt this way more from middle school to near the end of my sophomore year. Bt this past year, my junior year, i learned how to really not care what people say about me and i learned not to worry about rumors n such. I know who i am n so do my real friends so why should i care what someone who i dnt even like thinks or says about me? Its a great skill to have to not even turn ur head toward drama, and it took me years to finally understand why it's neccessary :) good luck in High School! It flies by so fast :0
