Gone but not forgotten
Heaven at least it’s not Hell
We never realized it
Until your last brain cells fell

You were dying
Slowly…Quietly…Silently
But still dying
Did you realize it before it was too late
Or did it hit you like it hit us
Like a slap in the face
Hard…Painful…Unforgotten

The boy who lived life to the fullest
No regrets…Never looked back
Ready for anything and yet ready for nothing
Ready for the changes that changed everything
The change from this live 16 year old boy
To this silent, quiet, cold boy in the perfect suit
In the velvet coffin

Oh the tears we cried, the red eyes
Even if we weren’t there, we still cried for you
Waste no tears for you’re still here
Spiritually yes.
But we need you physically
“Wake up” Mother Sanchez begged tearfully
What we’d give for her wish to come true.

Your body may be lifeless in that coffin
But your soul, your spirit roams your home
